Abstract

The language of the animation theatre is the one provided by the puppet through its animator. Its means of communication receive profound symbolic value. Through his manner of animation, the animator offers the puppet a life of its own, thus managing to convince the spectator of any age that everything that happens on stage is not a mirage, but the pure reality of here and now.

  • Andreea-Corina Ionescu, UNATC ”I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest, Romania

    Andreea-Corina Ionescu is a graduate of the Performing Arts – Puppets and marionettes section of the Theatre Faculty, UNATC, with a master’s degree completed in the Animation Theatre within the same university. Since 2012 she is a collaborator at the „Țăndărică” Animation Theatre, from Bucharest. Since 2014 she is a doctoral student at the UNATC Doctoral School in the field of Theatre and Performing Arts.
