UNATC’s film productions and film students are usually presented to a specialized audience, the audience of festivals. „Sun Flower“ and „UNATC Junior Caravan“ are two projects that managed to put in touch high school students with short films and with their creators. The high school students and the filmmakers are part of the same generation and it is very likely that most of their interests are common. This is the most important link that an audience could have with art and young artists/creators. They are the kind of people that will be interested in the future movies of these young filmmakers. But for this to happen, they will have to be made aware that these kinds of films exist. And, on the other side, this is the perfect way for a young filmmaker to become aware of the impact of his/her movies have, the adolescent’s reaction being genuine. They also have opportunities for explaining to high schools students what filmmaking is and sharing from their film experience and reflecting on this inspired crossing. The results of these meetings include making cultural projects available to a larger audience and highlighting artistic careers as worth pursuing to a larger spectrum of young individuals.
