Philosophy and Living Arts
Dear collaborators,
The editorial board of CONCEPT academic journal and the Master's Degree in Theater Research of the Rodolfo Usigli National Center for Research, Documentation and Information (CITRU), of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) of Mexico, invite you to submit research works, such as original articles, scientific essays, interviews, and editorial reviews for the dossier Philosophy and Living Arts. Understanding living arts as all those practices that take place in the here and now, where interaction between artist and audience occurs, highlighting the changing and ephemeral nature of live art, the dossier covers the following fields of study:
- The critical function of the performing arts with regard to social machinery and its system of enunciation and subjectivation, viewed from the perspective of the crisis of representation.
- The link between the performing arts and the reality of performance and its theorization from a non-traditional philosophical perspective.
- The theatrical event, the transience of the work, and nomadic thinking as the emergence or postponement of the political.
- Affective embodiment in the performing arts as a power of thought.
Estimados colaboradores,
