Abstract

In this text we present stage productions/staged performances with which the authors relate as spectators or as researchers and artist-creators. This analysis of works is based on the discussion of devices of theatricality and performance in contemporary theatre, and their relationships with reality and individual and collective memory. This paper aims to follow, through theatre productions, the ways in which the collective memory is activated in the Latin American space, to detect the common points between socio-political events and the possibilities of reproduction on the contemporary stage, and to discuss the relationship that is established between social reality and stage reality. For that, we analyzed the two works Sin título. Técnica mixta/Perú and Memorial de Silêncios e Margaridas/Brazil. Both are seen as acts of memory in dialogue with reality.
