The current review aims to account for the main contents and problematizations developed in the book Escenas políticas: Teatro entre revueltas 2006-2019 (Political Scenes: Theatre Between Revolts 2006-2019). It starts from the readings carried out in the same book concerning the post-political zeitgeist of the time, and the characterization that is made around the procedures and impulses which result in these “scenes” of the political. Thus, it seeks to provide an overview of the general panorama that the book addresses, the critical issues it unfolds, and to highlight the findings and certain yields that the research (carried out by Mauricio Barría and Iván Insunza and contained in this book) achieves not only for theatre as a field of study, but also regarding its histories, procedures, and ways of doing/thinking the scene in our generation, facing a (possible) new era of the local scene.
